Figure Note:
Stop-Motion Transformation of Yamato 1/60 Macross VF-19. Sweet jet mode. I got this figure in 2006, which means I’ve had it as long as I’ve had my own son. It wandered back and forth to work with me on and off for a year or so now, but something else always came up. So now I’ve finally shot it. It is VERY floppy in-between modes, so it was pretty frustrating to shoot despite not really being all that complex. I have a few more 1/60 Yamato Macross figures to do. The panel that covers the back of the neck slides up into the head, and yes indeed it is a pain in the ass to get back out.

Production Note: I encountered a fascinating phenomenon: Those little flaps that are in the shoulder pads? One of them had a habit of falling out. Just *plink* fell out while trying to do something else. But the fascinating part was putting it back into its little tracks would take a couple of minutes and a lot of cursing. I eventually put a little dab of tac in the track.
Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
