Yakutsk is Russia's and the World's coldest city. Winter temperatures regularly drop below −40°C (−40°F), and the coldest temperature recorded in Yakutia was around −71.2°C (−96.2°F) in the village of Oymyakon. Despite the extreme cold, over 300,000 people live here, adapting to frozen ground, ice fog, and months of severe winter. Living in a climate like this, it's very important to maintain health and to adapt to the harsh climate. One of the habits that help to do that is doing regular cold plunges. Locals do it on any days even when the temperature drops extremely. Let me show you one of the days of their morning routine.
