Warning, the Yahama MG16XU audio mixer has a factory defect that stops the mixer from operating in the middle of use.
I purchased two of these mixers and both of them failed in the middle of live events. After about 30 minutes of use, the PFL (Pre-Fade listen) circuit fails, locking out all inputs on the board which mutes the board output. Note: the PFL buttons are not pressed when this failure occurs.
I returned these mixers to the dealer and Yahama would not refund the purchase amount, but would only allow these brand new units to be repaired. After spending two months in a service center, the units were returned to me, but the problem persisted.
The following video shows the failure happening.
