Is the FT5D audio really that better than the FT3D? Well we will find out in a un-scientific way! Drive my car and listen to it while driving. Previously I did a video on the audio quality between the FT3D and the VX-6, and I thought the VX-6 did a way better job in audio, check out that video - youtu.be/Q5mArAmyAek.
Either way, it will be up to you to decide if the audio does sound better. I can only tell you what my observation was when driving.
