Mandarin progress video and update 1 year 5 month (我學中文學一年五個月的成果影片) Luke Truman 樂爾文 2020-09-30 | Video showing my latest progress in Mandarin Chinese and chatting with my teacher about where I think I am right now.Watching the video back makes me realize how bad I connect sounds together sometimes, and also how bad my Cantonese pronunciation comes out when I say the word 時候 shi2 hou4, so I will try and work on that going forward.Things I forgot to mention in the video is that one thing I struggle with is hearing the tones clearly during fast paced speech so this is also another thing that I want to work on going forward.Also one other thing I forgot to mention is I want to get more into the Chinese historical dramas 古裝劇, and before I have had some problems understanding as the language they tend to use is a bit different. So if you have any recommendations for that please let me know, especially ones on Netflix as it is much easier for me to look up new words.
