XY’s soundtrack is one of the best in the series (or so I think, and judging by comments I’ve gotten most of you do too!) and this behemoth of a song is like, sacred ground to a huge margin of Pokémon fans…which is why I am both terrified to be sharing this, and excited beyond words because I am ridiculously proud of my work on this. This song plays on Brun Way, Mélancolie Path, and Mamoswine Road (that’s where they lost the French motif--Game Freak pls), also known as the next few routes after Laverre City which I’m not going to name because it’s in the video dammit. Did I mention everybody in the goddamn Pokémon fandom seems to worship this song? Oh, okay. Anyway, it’s pretty damn fantastic, which is why it was so difficult for me to make. I love most of Kalos, but for some reason these routes (sans Mamoswine Road because that made me want to punch a Delibird in the face) stood out to me, and I think the major contributing factor to that is the music. It’s so boisterous, and adventure-y, and it’s such a fantastic song to hear at that point in your Kalosian journey; daring you to venture on, and take on all the challenges that come at you! It also helps that it’s so orchestra your brain melts. So, Dragoknights, here we are. I hope you all like it, and are ready for whatever I PokéTunes next! A: I was having some technical difficulties with my service provider since the Summer of 2013, and I am in the process of finding a new place to host said MP3’s. Please be patient.
Q: You used my art in one of your videos, can I have credit?
A: For anything pre Autumn 2014 send me and email at HappyZoroark [at] gmail.com with the video title in the subject line, or art, and I will add a link for you in said video as soon as I can. As of September 2014 there will always be a link so you should have no reason to worry about credit unless it’s a bum link, or you (the artist in particular) would like a different link to be used, in which case you can email me.
Q: What do you use to produce your music?
A: High quality samples, my wits, and Logic Pro 9. For video editing I use iMovie 9 (because the new one is impossible to figure out), and for image editing I flip-flop between Pixelmator and Photoshop CS-something.
Q: Can I use your music in a video / monetized video?
A: Absolutely. You don’t even need to ask my permission, just add a link to my channel in the description of your video and it’s all good. No need to make it all complicated. Go right ahead. If you want some attention too, feel free to mention me on Twitter @HappyDragonite, and I’ll check your video out!
Q: How can I help support your channel ie. donations?
A: I don’t accept donations at this time, but watching my videos (liking etc.) helps. If you have adblock on, if you turned it off to watch the videos of the people you watch on YouTube that would be super cool, because that’s sort-of completely how I can afford to keep uploading videos instead of working retail.
