If you have ever been frustrated with metal color engraving, I get it! After months of practicing, I'm sharing tips and resources I've found to be invaluable.
Tips:
1. Always preheat the IR.
2. Always manually focus when using shiny materials.
3. Start with a minimal amount of color (3-5 colors) as you learn, but know the automatic color separation can do more.
4. Inspect each layer (zoom in to ID and remove 'noise').
5. You don't NEED to enter a material in the software.
