The four amigos, Sid, Steve, Bill, and Josh, ventured to (Santa Rosa) Xtampak, a Maya ruin in Campeche state not far from the border with Yucatan state. Xtampak in Maya means "old walls." Sid had visited the site more than 20 years earlier. In 2008, INAH, the federal agency in charge of Mexico's ruins, restored many of the buildings. This is what we found when we visited in March 2009.
