Les Études de Chopin sont deux cahiers chacun de douze études pour le piano que le compositeur polonais Frédéric Chopin publia dans les années 1830 : le premier, l'opus 10, dédié « à son ami F. Liszt » et le deuxième, l'opus 25, dédié « à Madame la Comtesse d'Agoult ». Mais on doit encore ajouter à cela, pour faire le tour de toutes les études proprement dites de Chopin, les Trois nouvelles études, sans numéro d'opus, que le compositeur écrivit pour la Méthode des méthodes de piano de Ignaz Moscheles et François-Joseph Fétis. Cet article a donc pour tâche de traiter de ces 27 études pour piano seul.

Robert Dankwart Leo Riefling (født 17. september 1911 i Oslo, død 1. juli 1988) var en norsk pianist og musikkpedagog. Han debuterte 11 år gammel med Oslo filharmoniske orkester, og med solokonsert som fjortenåring i Gamle Logens store sal (september, 1925). Han ledet Rieflings Klaverinstitutt 1941–52, sammen med broren Reimar Riefling (1898–1981). I 1942–43 var han på Grini fangeleir og Bredtvet. Han var professor ved Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium 1965–73 og ved Norges musikkhøgskole 1973–80. Riefling utga om lag 60 plateinnspillinger: Bachs Das Wohltemperierte Klavier to ganger (første gang i 1946 som første nordmann som fremførte dette verket), samtlige klaversonater av Beethoven og Fartein Valens klaververk. Flere komponister har skrevet musikk for ham, blant dem Klaus Egge og Harald Sæverud. Til 75-årsdagen i 1986 avholdt Kong Olav V en festmatine for Riefling. Han skulle være æresgjest ved Festspillene i Nord-Norge i juni 1988 og dele ut Riefling-prisen, men ble syk og måtte melde avbud.

It is better known by the title Rage Over a Lost Penny, Vented in a Caprice (from German: Die Wut über den verlorenen Groschen, ausgetobt in einer Caprice).

Die sog. „Wut über den verlorenen Groschen" ist der Populärname eines Klavierwerks von Ludwig van Beethoven. Der Originaltitel ist „Alla Ingharese quasi un Capriccio". Es ist das bekannteste von Beethovens vier Rondos. Die Aufführungsdauer liegt bei etwa 6 Minuten, bei einigen Interpreten bei fast 7. Der Untertitel „Wuth über den verlornen Groschen ausgetobt in einer Kaprize" stammt nicht von Beethoven, sondern wurde vermutlich von Beethovens Sekretär und Biographen Anton Schindler hinzugefügt. Und man kann auch durchaus die beiden Motive des Rondo-Themas -- den aufsteigenden Dreiklang und die nachfolgende schnelle Sechzehntelbewegung -- als Hüpfen und Kreiseln des Groschens und die sich wiederholenden Akkorde der linken Hand als „wütende" Begleitung interpretieren. Die originale Bezeichnung „alla ingharese", also „auf ungarische Art", bezieht sich auf die Lebhaftigkeit, das Temperament und „quasi un capriccio", also „wie ein Capriccio", meint die Launenhaftigkeit und Eigenwilligkeit, mit der die Motive kombiniert, modifiziert und überraschend in unerwartete Tonarten versetzt werden, jedoch so, dass sie immer in ihrer grundlegenden Gestalt erkennbar bleiben und sich, wie es sich für ein Rondo gehört, zwischendurch wieder in ihrer Ausgangsgestalt zeigen. Obwohl dieses G-Dur-Rondo die Opuszahl 129 trägt, ist es kein spätes Werk. Skizzenblätter stammen aus den Jahren 1795 bis 1798, Beethoven war also etwa 25 Jahre alt, als er dieses bis heute populäre (und von Dilettanten unterschätzte) Virtuosenstück komponierte.

Colère pour un sou perdu est un rondeau pour piano en sol majeur, op. 129, de Ludwig van Beethoven. Son titre original est Rondo a capriccio, avec l'indication de tempo Alla ingharese, quasi un capriccio. Le surnom Colère pour un sou perdu n'est pas de Beethoven. Beethoven a écrit ce morceau en 1795 alors qu'il n'avait pas 25 ans, mais ne l'a jamais terminé. C'est l'éditeur Anton Diabelli qui l'a complété puis publié à titre posthume.

جوزيِفْ هايدِن (بالألمانية: Joseph Haydn)‏ (1732-1809 م) مؤلف موسيقي ولد في مدينة روهو في النمسا ،اكتشفت عبقريته وهو ما زال في أول سنين حياته. لحن أول مقطوعاته الدينية في سن العاشرة. في عام 1766 أصبح هايدن قائداً لأوركسترا الأمير استراهازي وبقي ما يقرب الأربعين عاماً. بعد موت الأمير استراهازي رحل هايدن إلى لندن ليقود بضع حفلات. ثم عاد إلى فيينا، وكتب نشيد ليحفظ الله القيصر الذي أضحى بعد ذلك النشيد الوطني النمساوي. عاد هايدن إلى لندن ليكتب مقطوعتين دينيتين شهيرتين وهما أوراتوريو "الخلق" وأوراتريو "الفصول". منحته جامعة أكسفورد لقب دكتور في الموسيقى. يعد من أهم الأشخاص الذين قاموا بتطوير الآلات الموسيقية، وقد أطلق عليه اسم أبي السمفونية لأنه قام بتطويرها من الشكل البسيط القصير التأليف الموسيقي إلى الشكل المطول المستخدم مع الأوركسترا الطويلة، كتب أكثر من 80 مقطوعة رباعية ما زال العديد منها يحظى بشهرة واسعة مثل "الطائر" (1781), ويعد الموشحان اللذان خلفهما من أفضل ما قدم وهما "شروق الشمس" (1799) و"الامبراطور" (1799)، كما كتب هايدن أوبريتات وأعمالاً صوتية أخرى.

Wunderlich worked as both a church musician and academic in Halle until 1957 when he fled to West Germany and became a church musician and academic in Hamburg. He toured internationally and attracted students from many countries to study with him in Hamburg. After retiring from teaching, he went on to more compositions.

Jörg Wolfgang Demus (2 December 1928 – 16 April 2019) was an Austrian classical pianist who appeared internationally and made many recordings. He was also a composer and a lecturer at music academies. In composition and playing, he focused on chamber music and lieder. He played with singers such as Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, as a piano duo with Paul Badura-Skoda, and with string players such as Josef Suk and Antonio Janigro. Demus was instrumental in bringing the historic fortepiano to concert podiums. He was a member of the Legion of Honour, among many awards. He is regarded as one of the leading Austrian pianists of the immediate post-World War II era.

Michel Richard Delalande [de Lalande] (15 December 1657 – 18 June 1726) was a French Baroque composer and organist who was in the service of King Louis XIV. He was one of the most important composers of grands motets. He also wrote orchestral suites known as Simphonies pour les Soupers du Roy and ballets.

Jean-François Paillard (12 April 1928 – 15 April 2013) was a French conductor. He was born in Vitry-le-François and received his musical training at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he won first prize in music history, and the Salzburg Mozarteum. He also earned a degree in mathematics at the Sorbonne. In 1953, he founded the Jean-Marie Leclair Instrumental Ensemble, which in 1959 became the Orchestre de Chambre Jean-François Paillard. The ensemble has made recordings of much of the Baroque repertoire for Erato Records and has toured throughout Europe and the United States. It has also recorded with many leading French instrumentalists, including Maurice André, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Pierre Pierlot, Lily Laskine, Jacques Lancelot, Michel Arrignon.

João Carlos Martins (born June 25, 1940, in Sao Paulo, Brazil) is an acclaimed Brazilian classical pianist and conductor.

The Well-Tempered Clavier, BWV 846–893, is a collection of two series of Preludes and Fugues in all 24 major and minor keys, composed for solo keyboard by Johann Sebastian Bach. In the German of Bach's time Clavier (keyboard) was a generic name indicating a variety of keyboard instruments, most typically a harpsichord or clavichord – but not excluding an organ either.

The modern German spelling for the collection is Das wohltemperierte Klavier. Bach gave the title Das Wohltemperirte Clavier to a book of preludes and fugues in all 24 major and minor keys, dated 1722, composed "for the profit and use of musical youth desirous of learning, and especially for the pastime of those already skilled in this study". Some 20 years later Bach compiled a second book of the same kind, which became known as The Well-Tempered Clavier, Part Two (in German: Zweyter Theil, modern spelling: Zweiter Teil).
