Relive the heroic, high-energy arcade soundtrack and booming voice clips of Konami's legendary 1992 beat 'em up X-Men!
Based on the 1989 X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men animated pilot, this arcade smash allowed up to 6 players simultaneously across dual-monitor cabinets to fight through Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Players took control of Cyclops, Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Dazzler.
The hard-hitting FM synth score was composed by Konami sound creators Seirou Murai and Atsushi Fujio. Driven by Konami's custom sound chips (including the Yamaha YM2151 and K053260 PCM processor), the soundtrack perfectly complemented the chaotic mutant powers and iconic digitized voice lines ("Welcome to die!").
Game: X-Men (エックス・メン)
Publisher / Developer: Konami (1992)
Composers: Seirou Murai, Atsushi Fujio
Sound Hardware: Yamaha YM2151 & Konami K053260
