X-Men 2: Clone Wars is a 2D platformer game developed by Headgames and released by Sega for the Genesis/Mega Drive consoles. The game was published in 1995 and is a sequel to 1993's X-Men. The game is based on the X-Men Marvel Comics and features other characters such as Apocalypse, Cameron Hodge, Deathbird, Exodus, Fabian Cortez, The Brood Queen, and Tusk. The following characters are playable: Beast, Cyclops, Gambit, Magneto, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, and Wolverine. The main antagonist in the game is the technorganic alien race known as the Phalanx. The Phalanx is trying to take control of Earth by assimilating all of its inhabitants. Professor Xavier dispatches the X-Men to stop the Phalanx and save Earth.
