I swapped a Caddx Vista onto my X-Knight 4-inch build. It's my best performing DJI FPV build so far. Details below...
It's basically this BNF drone (bit.ly/x-knight-4-inch-bnf),
but with a Caddx Vista instead of analog FPV.
Full Parts List:
- X-Knight 4-inch Frame: bit.ly/33ZIpyV
- Caddx Vista Camera + Air Unit: bit.ly/3aZv78u
- BETAFPV 1505 3600KV Motors: bit.ly/betafpv-1505-3600kv-motors
- BetaFPV 20A AIO (v3 has enough UARTS without remapping any resources): bit.ly/betafpv-20a-aio-v3
- Crossfire Nano Receiver: bit.ly/3aJgC7O
- HQ 4025 Props: bit.ly/3dXzpij
- Tattu R-Line 850mAh 4S Battery with XT30: bit.ly/2IRwJ7L
- 15mm M2 standoffs (I used nylon)
- 22-24mm M2 screws
- Metal M2 lock nuts
If you have v2 of the BetaFPV 20A AIO, you can still use the Vista + external RX. Here's how:
- Wire the TX pad on the Vista to the R1 on the FC
- Wire the RX pad on the Vista to the S5 pad on the FC
- Swap the resources for Motor 5 and R1 with these CLI commands:
resource MOTOR 5 A10
resource SERIAL_RX 1 B03
- On the Ports tab, enable MSP (and nothing else) on UART1
Alternate canopy:
This one (bit.ly/388tOBS) is designed by Racer X FPV. Pick "Vista" from the drop-down, and you'll have something specifically designed for it. I haven't used that specific canopy, but I have had good success with their other variations. It should line up with the holes in this frame, but you might want to use a tiny washer under the nut because the Racer X canopies are designed for M3 screws.
CLI diff for Betaflight 4.2 RC1 + BetaFPV 20A AIO FC (MATEKF411 target):
