The XIAO ESP32-C5 is the first Seeed Studio XIAO to support 5 GHz Wi-Fi, offering dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for higher throughput and cleaner spectrum access while maintaining 2.4 GHz compatibility. It delivers comprehensive IoT connectivity with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 LE, and IEEE 802.15.4, fully supporting Matter, HomeKit, and MQTT, all powered by a 240 MHz 32-bit RISC-V core with ample on-chip memory, Flash, and PSRAM for smooth multitasking and scalability. Enhanced security features, along with an integrated low-power battery management interface enabling deep-sleep currents as low as 15 ยตA, make it well suited for secure, energy-efficient connected devices. In this video I explored the technical specifications of XIAO ESP32-C5 and explained how to get started with it using Arduino IDE and a simple Arduino sketch for a blinking LED.
