Namco's Xevious can easily be called a pioneering arcade shmup for many reasons. Unsurprising, it would get many home versions, and in this video, I'll be checking out the versions for the Apple II, C64 and ZX Spectrum along with it's follow-up Xevious: Faudraut Sage on the MSX2.
Gameplay footage recorded from real hardware - watch this at 1080p50 to see it at the absolute best quality!
