Mike Dailly | XeO3 map scrolling on my ZX Spectrum Next emulator @MikeDailly | Uploaded July 2017 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Converted Commodore Plus/4 XeO3 map, scrolling on Layer 2 of the ZX Spectrum Next.
Scrolling takes only a few scan lines, even at 3.5Mhz mode, at 14Mhz mode it's almost free! Animated blocks could eat a LOT of time though as on the Plus/4 sometimes the whole screen is full of them.
Graphics are stored as a stream rather than tile blocks, allowing them to be rendered very quickly.
