Retro Gaming Revolution | Xenoblade Chronicles: The Balance of Power quest in Valak Mountain @RetroGamesRevolution | Uploaded August 2011 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
To start this quest, you must have Dunban as the party leader and speak with Dakuku in the Nopon Camp at the bottom of Hollow Bone in Valak Mountain. The timing for reaching the Antol Den is pretty difficult, and will probably take several tries - just try to jump as close to the end of the ice ramp as possible.
Once at the Antol Den, you'll find the unique monster and leader of the Antols, Barbaric Sitri, walking around. He's level 47, so I'd suggest being at least level 43+ before even attempting the fight.
After dispatching Barbaric Sitri, focus on the pods against the wall. The one nearest where you jumped in will have a Fork Chillkin, the one just behind that one is holding the Chillkin leader, Banquet Vassago (I'd love to see the random name generator they use for this game...) He is level 48, but if you survived Barbaric Sitri, you should be okay.
Once you've slain both leaders, head back to Dakuku with Dunban as the party leader for your reward: A new skill path, 'Obstinance,' for Dunban.
