We are honored to welcome Dave Williams as Xencelabs Artist Spotlight for April.
Dave Williams is an author, writer, photographer, and speaker, specializing in travel from the UK. With experience throughout the photography industry, he captures the world from his perspective with a view to sharing all the tools and techniques he can in travel, photography, and photo retouching, with nothing held back. Dave’s mantra is, “Lend me your eyes and I’ll show you what I see.”
In addition, Dave is the only regular writer, aside from Scott himself, for ScottKelby.com - writing every week for #TravelTuesday. Dave also writes journalistic and inspirational articles for DIYPhotography.net
Dave also writes for TipSquirrel.com - an Adobe education site, and for Photoshop User Magazine. He works closely with several companies within the photography and travel industries, including Platypod, Wandrd, Litra, Drobo, Blackrapid, Passion Passport, Triumph, Lonely Planet, and his writing and images have been featured in Time, National Geographic, The Times, Forbes, Conde Nast, along with plenty of other publications.
Dave’s social media influence has seen him collaborate on marketing campaigns with Byron Burger, Häagen Dazs, Waitrose, Skoda, The National Lottery, EE, BoxFresh, Gü, and his images have been purchased by Boeing, Huawei, Microsoft, BMW, Conde Nast, Electronic Arts, Discovery, The Telegraph, BNP, Viacom, Qantas, Yahoo, Cambridge University Press, Vente Privee, KPMG, BBC, The Guardian, ESPN, NBC, The Sun, Amazon, Norwegian, The Financial Times, Express Newspapers, AOL, and a whole host of travel and marketing firms. The images have been used across a range of media, from blogs to billboards, the world over.
Dave also speaks about photography, including being a proud member of the ‘Instructor Dream Team’ for the Photoshop World Conference.
Dave’s latest book, ‘The Complete Aurora Guide: For Travellers and Photographers,’ is an insight into the stories and science of the Northern Lights, where Dave arms the reader with all the knowledge they need to find and photograph Lady Aurora and his books can be found on Amazon and Goodreads.
