Xencelabs is excited to share our Spotlight Artist for October Chase Crittenden!
Chase Lambert-Crittenden is the CEO and founder of iQ Pictures, a company he founded in Seattle when he was 16. Drawing inspiration from the unique landscapes and vibrant communities of the Pacific Northwest, Chase's work reflects a distinct sense of place, immersing viewers in rich and authentic cinematic experiences. His directorial style blends his love for science fiction and animation into magical realism, inviting audiences into worlds both familiar and fantastical.
After graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a film degree, Chase honed his directorial skills by working on a range of commercials and music videos. During this time, he discovered his true calling while developing his passion project, the World of Kylia. Despite lacking the backing of a traditional studio, Chase turned to YouTube as a valuable resource, teaching himself the intricacies of 3D animation. As the project progressed, he attracted a team of talented individuals who were drawn to the creative freedom of building a world together. This collaborative journey ignited Chase's aspiration to expand the iQ team and provide opportunities for other artists to develop their unique voices in the industry.
