Insane African Pompano Fishing Action! BlacktipH 2023-04-18 | In this episode of BlacktipH, Jake Jorgensen goes on an insane fishing adventure with my buddy Captain Jason Boyle and Luke from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We started the day off catching amberjacks, almaco jacks, and blue runners. We searched for the permit but only hooked one, and it broke off on the wreck. We then moved deeper into the Gulf of Mexico to find the elusive african pompano. After getting a few smaller ones, we began hooking some giant fish! Searching for Giant Stone Crabs - Catch N Cook BlacktipH 2023-03-08 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we go searching for giant stone crabs, and then do a catch n cook at the house! Billy, Daniel, Sammy, and their dog Roy took the boat out in the backcountry of Key West, Florida, to pull up traps they set out in the hope of seeing stone crabs and rebait them all. The first few traps were a considerable success- capturing six stone crabs! They measured the claws to ensure they were legal, then tossed the crabs back into the water. I Caught the FIRST MARLIN of the 2023 Season BlacktipH 2022-11-29 | In this episode of BlacktipH, Jake goes fishing at Tropic Star Lodge and catches a fish that took him 25 years to find! Jake met up with the fishing director at the lodge, Richard White, and they headed offshore early in the morning in search of a floating structure with fish on it. After trolling lures for a half hour, they got a bite, and it was a big fish! Jake fought the fish for over 30 minutes before it popped off, and he lost it. Immediately the crew got the lures back in the water and began trolling again. Soon after, a blue marlin ate one of the lures, and jake was hooked up to this massive fish. The LARGEST PREDATOR in the Lake!! BlacktipH 2022-11-22 | In this episode of BlacktipH, Jake and I go fishing for giant musky on Lake St. Clair. We met up with our friend Joe, one of the best musky fishermen in Windsor. He has a revival tank we put the fish in after we catch them to rejuvenate them so they can be released safely. Joe put out a spread of baits on the planers, and we began trolling around the lake. Our first hook-up was a big one- a musky that measured 47 inches! We put it in the revival tank, and our baits out for another fish. Shortly afterward, Jake and I doubled up on two more muskies- landed them, and placed them in the tank. MR. OLYMPIA GOES FISHING!! Ft. CBUM BlacktipH 2022-11-01 | In this episode of BlacktipH, Jake Jorgensen takes Chris Bumstead, aka cbum, fishing offshore! Chris Bumstead is a 3X Mr. Olympia winner from 2019 to 2021. We began the day by dropping down for Goliath Grouper. Jake cut a piece of jack crevalle in half, hooked it through the head, and dropped it straight down. After a few missed bites, cbum finally hooked one and fought it to the boat! Chris started not to feel so well, so his girlfriend Courtney wanted to catch the next fish. She caught another grouper the same size as Chris'!! MASSIVE School of Bait Fish SURROUNDS our Boat!! BlacktipH 2022-10-18 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we go fishing for multi-species offshore Mahi, Wahoo, Swordfish, and Sharks. Jake, Billy, and Davis took our team of sponsors- Penn, Berkley, and Fin-nor. We began the day by finding a large stick floating in the water with mahi all over it! After catching a dozen of those, Billy dropped a vertical jig deep below the floating structure and hooked into a small wahoo, which we released and then moved deeper for swordfish. We dropped our swordfish bait in 1600 feet of water and waited for three hours before we got a bite. We used the Hooker Electric reel, got the small swordfish up within about 15 minutes, and released it. As we headed back inshore, we saw a massive school of baitfish busting by the beach. Experienced Fishing Guides VS BlacktipH | FISHING BATTLE BlacktipH 2022-10-05 | In this episode of BlacktipH, experienced fishing guides battle the BlacktipH team in the Florida Keys! First, everyone drew cards from a hat to determine who would be on which team; BlacktipH or Delph Fishing. We then dropped our baits and started fishing. Everyone was hooking fish immediately. We were catching bonito, mutton snapper, amberjacks, almaco jacks, scamp grouper, and red snapper. These Fish were Almost Impossible to Catch BlacktipH 2022-09-20 | In this episode of Blacktiph, it was almost impossible to catch these fish! We began by hooking bonitos and fighting them past the shark and to the boat. John, Wes, and Alex lost their first fish to the sharks. After a while, they finally started getting them in the boat, for we kept a few and then headed to the next spot, where we caught a smaller kingfish. On our way back to the boat ramp, we found a school of jack crevalles swimming down the beach. Wes cast a bait to them and the biggest one at it- he was a giant! Fishing in BELIZE!! Dolphin, Barracuda, Kingfish, and more!! BlacktipH 2022-09-07 | In this episode of BlacktipH, I travel to Belize to compete in the Grand Caribe Fishing Tournament! I was joined by my friend Demi Bagby, who fished on her own on the first day of the tournament. I met her at the dock after her first day, and we saw frigates circling the filet table, so I had to feed them. The next day Demi and I went offshore to fish the second day of the tournament, and we began by trolling. We caught a couple of mahi, barracudas, and jacks before ending the day drift fishing. I dropped down a jig a hooked kingfish immediately! This fish ended up being the largest kingfish caught in the tournament. I Hooked a MASSIVE Marlin!! BlacktipH 2022-07-19 | In this episode of BlacktipH, I hook a massive black marlin on my last day fishing at Tropic Star in Panama! My friend Carter joined us on the boat today, and we began by trolling baits in shallow water- and it didn't take long for a dorado to come and eat one! Carter fought this big mahi-mahi to the boat, and we got it in! Shortly after, we got another bite, but it was a giant houndfish this time! We threw him in the box and decided to head offshore to look for some bigger fish. After a few hours of trolling- we got a black marlin bite, and it was big!! I fought this fish for over 30 minutes before the hook popped out of his mouth. This Fish is DIFFERENT!! BlacktipH 2022-07-05 | In this episode of BlacktipH, I travel to Tropic Star Lodge in Panama to go fishing in the annual Roosterfish Fishing Tournament. Roosterfish are a unique and different species of fish, belonging to their own scientific family, not related to any other species! Within the first 30 minutes of fishing, we caught our four Roosterfish. All of a sudden, my Penn International 30w started screaming! I reeled in the fish and caught my first-ever bluefin trevally, one of the most beautiful fish in the ocean! After releasing the bluefin, my silver Penn Torque started screaming, and another Roosterfish jumped behind the boat. The bite was on fire! MONSTER Dolphin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish and Shark Fishing BlacktipH 2022-06-22 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we catch monster Dolphin Fish (Dorado or Mahi-Mahi), Blue Marlin, Sailfish, and Sharks at Tropic Star Lodge in Panama. On the first day out of tropic star lodge, Capt. Richard White (the fishing director of the lodge) came with us, and we headed offshore to find floating debris with fish on it. After catching and releasing a few sharks, we finally managed to hook a huge bull dolphin and get him in the boat. The sharks became a nuisance to the live bait, so we switched to lures and got back on the mahi! We caught three more before wrapping up the evening. On day two, I headed back out offshore in search of blue marlin, and very early on, we hooked up! Dolphin, Tripletail and Triggerfish - Deep Sea Fishing BlacktipH 2022-06-07 | In this episode of Blacktiph, I go deep sea fishing off the coast of Florida to catch dolphin, tripletail, and triggerfish! We found a few mahi in the morning and pitched live baits at them, then got two quickly in the boat. I took us further south, where we found a floating bucket with a rope attached. We spotted a triple tail on it, so I cast to him, and he ate it! We moved on and found a floating pallet that had another tripletail on it. FINDING Fish using Underwater Drones BlacktipH 2022-05-24 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we use an underwater drone in Key West to find more fish on the reefs. We sent the drone down nearly 300ft to a World War 1 submarine, and we found dozens of fish swimming around the wreck. We found amberjacks, snapper, lionfish, and grouper swimming around the submarine wreck. The following day, we headed back to the reefs and started hooking fish. Billy and Josh caught Mutton and Red Snappers. Surf Fishing in North Carolina - Giant Drum & Sharks BlacktipH 2022-05-17 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we go beach fishing for Redfish and Sharks in North Carolina. Jake got a call from our good friend Travis saying that there's a hot bite off the beach in the Outer Banks. Jake flew up, and they went straight to the beach to put out baits at sunrise. Immediately Jake hooked up to a giant redfish, fought him to the shore, and released him; this was Jake's largest drum fish ever! The rest of the morning mainly consisted of sandbar sharks after that. Jake and Travis decided to change spots at midday and go further south. Bryce Hall Finds Mysterious Package while Fishing BlacktipH 2022-05-10 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we take Bryce Hall fishing, and he spots a mysterious package floating in the ocean. Bryce and his friends, unfortunately, slept in the morning, so Jake and I decided to go fishing without them. We drifted with live baits and hooked up immediately. Within a few hours, we had two keeper dolphin and a cobia! We went back to the dock and picked up Bryce, and proceeded back offshore. I began chumming, then put a giant bait on for a big bull shark, and we hooked one instantly. Bryce fought it for a half hour before getting it to the boat and releasing it. Bryce recovered from the shark fight and noticed a mysterious, floating package behind the boat. We drove up to it, and Bryce grabbed the floating box, ran up to the front of the boat, and opened it up. Darren brought his best sales reps from APTIVE to catch and release some sharks. It was too rough to go offshore, so we had to stay inside the river. Josh dropped down a giant bait, and we hooked a huge shark! After releasing the massive fish, we headed in before the rain hit. The next day we made it offshore and caught several giant bull sharks! Massive Blacktip Sharks and a Huge Dolphin!! BlacktipH 2022-04-05 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we go fishing at Tropic Star Lodge for black marlin and find some massive blacktip sharks and a huge dolphin on Zane Grey Reef. Our first goal, as always, was to catch our live bait. Once we filled the tuna tubes, we headed offshore and started trolling. The first fish that showed up in the spread was a big dorado (Mahi-Mahi or Dolphin Fish). I tossed the belly bait, and the dorado ate it. After a difficult battle, we landed the dolphin, tagged and released it safely back to the ocean. Shortly after we started fishing on Zane Grey Reef and found some massive blacktip sharks! Giant Dolphin and Massive Marlin Spotted! BlacktipH 2022-03-29 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we go fishing for giant dolphin and massive black marlin at Tropic Star Lodge in Panama. We went fishing with Ryan Logan and Jessica Harvey on our second day and tagged two dolphin. On our third day, Guy Harvey and I have an encounter with a massive marlin! This marlin eventually ate the bait, but a bottlenose dolphin managed to literary rip the bonito from the marlin's mouth. It was incredibly frustrating! Guy and I managed to tag and release two more dolphin before the day was over. Swimming with a MASSIVE 30ft Shark!! BlacktipH 2022-03-22 | In this episode of BlacktipH, we travel to Tropic Star Lodge in Panama, where I got to swim with a 30ft Whale Shark on the first day of our expedition. Our crew traveled to the lodge with Guy Harvey and researchers to conduct important scientific documentation of the local fisheries. Tropic Star is in a very remote location in the Jungles of Panama. We had to take a plane, a bus ride, and finally a boat ride to reach the lodge. Once we got to Tropic Star Lodge, we rested and prepared for the following day. On the next day, Guy Harvey, Martin (Guy's friend), and our crew headed offshore to search for black marlin. After filling our tuna tubes, we started trolling for marlin. It didn't take long to get our first bite, and it was a big sailfish! Later in the day, Guy spotted a whale shark swimming on the surface. I got the opportunity to jump in the water and swim with the massive 30ft animal! This shark was so massive, it literary felt like I was swimming with a dinosaur! Time slowed down when I was in the water with this giant shark! We finished the day off tagging and releasing several dorado (mahi-mahi or dolphinfish). Offshore Fish Hooked from Land | Coastlines - Episode 6 BlacktipH 2022-03-08 | In this episode of BlacktipH, Preston and I have only one day left on San Salvador Island in the Bahamas, and it will be our final attempt to catch an offshore fish species from land. We got to the south side of the island in the morning, but the wind direction wasn't working for us. We came back later that afternoon, and the conditions were excellent! I set up the kite and deployed the first bait. It didn't take long to get our first bite, and it almost immediately broke us off on the reef. This fish had to be a grouper! We deployed our second bait, and after an hour, we hooked our second fish of the day. This fish stayed on the surface the entire fight. It was 100% an offshore pelagic species.
