Competition shooting handguns have certain specifications different from those for concealed carry. To accommodate those who participate in shooting competitions, Springfield Armory designed the XD(M)® 5.25 pistol to fit the regulations to which participants must adhere. This small handgun allows players to use the rules to their advantage. With a longer slide, owners have a longer sight radius. The XDM pistol also has a lighter slide to keep the feel of the 4.5 while still having enhanced shooting precision.
