Me and some friends spent the weekend devising a new and terrifying way to play XCOM 2 over Parsec that really ratchets up the tension. It's not quite coop, but it's definitely anti-AVATAR.
To play you'll need several mates, parsec, a copy of any XCOM game you like, and faith in your allies, without faith there's nothing to shatter.
