The Xbox Developer Direct 2024 overall was a boring, drawn out, and overall underwhelming showcase of Microsoft's upcoming first party games lineup for 2024 including Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Ara History Untold, and Hellblade 2. Overall this Xbox Series X | S Games Showcase was incredibly boring with more time being spent shoving a camera in the face of random game developers rather than showing off actual gameplay footage of the games being discussed. The pacing of this event was downright miserable to sit through and aside from the first look at the upcoming Indiana Jones Game from Machine Games, there really wasn't anything new here to get excited about. Compared to the PS5 PlayStation First Party Studios Lineup for 2024 Xbox definitely has them beat in terms of quantity of exclusive games, but the quality of them is still up in the air. Overall I walked away feeling like I wasted 45 minutes of my time and probably should have just watched the 2 minute Indiana Jones trailer on YouTube instead.
