Just for historical purposes, here are some glitchy-ass Super Mario Kart races recorded over the last couple of years on the Retrocomputing.Network XBAND revival server. Unlike the other two SNES games currently playable online from consoles via XBAND (DOOM and Super Street Fighter II), SMK has some technical problems when played over long distances; it completely shits itself, basically. Also, for some reason the game won't let the players pick Race mode, even though this was definitely possible back in the '90s. For more information and to get connected if you have an XBAND adapter, inquire about the BANDWIDTH Discord!
