Original was sourced from 'toghomevideo' on Tumblr.This was made with VEGAS Pro 14.0. VHS effect was done by taking the raw video and putting it through a VCR. Fox Searchlight Pictures logo (1997-2010) remake (v3, April/October 2021) FrixTheSecond 2021-10-16 | A very heavy update to my (Fox) Searchlight Pictures logo remake. I had initially finished this in April, but I noticed a few errors that only took me up until now to get around to. (probably because I was busy with the other remakes).The sky was completely redone, as well as the city and lights. I also replaced the font for 'PICTURES' with Futura, since a ton of people (and by that i mean just one) requested that I did so. Most of everything else remained the same, for the most part.This was built in Blender 2.9, rendered in 3.0 alpha using Cycles X with 128 samples and denoised with OpenImageDenoiser. (the original took a minute to render and I didn't want to wait that long just for this.) Initially, I planned to use VEGAS for editing everything together, but I ended up using Olive Video Editor (olivevideoeditor.org) again just to get it to render properly (VEGAS wouldn't detect a proper video stream in the file, even after re-encoding with FFMPEG.) The lens flare near the end was done using VEGAS Pro 14.0 with the 'HitFilm Lens Flare' preset, used on a squashed version of the render, stretched back to normal resolution in post. (to recreate the strange lens flare.)Before you ask, no. Created entirely using the Valve 'Hammer' map editor, a tool designed for creating maps for use in the Source engine, particularly Garry's Mod and Half-Life 2. Learning how to use it was a pain, there weren't any visible importing options to my knowledge, so I built the entire thing from scratch using geometry and boxes. For a 'first try', I honestly don't think this is that bad. Once I'm finished, I'll update the description with a link to the addon, which will be available from the Steam Workshop.
