Doom E1M4-B, Romeros New Map in a Classic Source Port (Boom, UV, all secrets) Dome-Candy Games 2016-04-28 | John Romero built yet another classic Doom map, Phobos Mission Control released on 4-26-2016. It's a replacement for E1M4, and requires a limit-removing source port. You can and SHOULD play this without jumping, crouching, etc for the best experience.I'm playing it here on ultra violence in Dosbox using the Boom source port version 2.02 released in 1998. This port keeps most things vanilla, including playing the game in 320x200 with 256 colors, though it does add some color to the automap, and adds other options that you can choose to turn on or keep off. John Romeros NEW Doom Map (in Brutal Doom v20b) Dome-Candy Games 2016-01-16 | So, John Romero has been working on this Doom 1 map, "Tech Gone Bad," for around 2 weeks, and just released it to the public today (1-15-2016) via a Dropbox link on his Facebook page. If anything it shows that he still has great design chops. It's a basic Doom 1 level (no BFG, no Plasma) and uses only assets from the shareware version of Doom 1.
