I play the oft fondly remembered classic: Doom 64 (1997). The game was rated mediocre back in the day, but in the 20 years since it's become a cult classic, and perhaps one of the best Doom sequels around! I play it on original hardware (of course) and it still plays very well IMO.

This is a complete 27 map rebuild of Doom 1 featuring similar vanilla-flavored gameplay and level design based on the design of the original.
Most footage is in GZDoom with Brutal Doom v20b, and Doom metal volume 4 on "ultra violence." I also used chocolate doom for some classic footage.

Check out Dome-Candy Games on Facebook: facebook.com/domecandygamesDoom E1M4-B, Romeros New Map in a Classic Source Port (Boom, UV, all secrets)Dome-Candy Games2016-04-28 | John Romero built yet another classic Doom map, Phobos Mission Control released on 4-26-2016. It's a replacement for E1M4, and requires a limit-removing source port. You can and SHOULD play this without jumping, crouching, etc for the best experience.
I'm playing it here on ultra violence in Dosbox using the Boom source port version 2.02 released in 1998. This port keeps most things vanilla, including playing the game in 320x200 with 256 colors, though it does add some color to the automap, and adds other options that you can choose to turn on or keep off. I also get all 6 secrets in the video.
John Romero's description: With the Toxin Refinery in the rear-view, you make your way to Phobos Mission Control where the computers crunching the data from the Phobos Anomaly are located. You need to use them to gain access to the Phobos Lab, but remember hearing that the computers were tied into all areas of the installation and that you never knew when the environment around you would change. You need to keep your eyes alert to all movement - this place is not what it seems...

All 10 secrets are also uncovered in this video. Enjoy!
I'm playing it here in Dosbox with the Doom Plus source port on "hurt me plenty" difficulty.
I've also played this map in old-school mode using "Crispy Doom" a variation of the Chocolate Doom source port. This still suffers from some of the same texture glitches, but the final boss room looks and runs a lot better for some reason. http://www.chocolate-doom.org/wiki/index.php/Crispy_Doom
Check out Dome-Candy Games on Facebook: facebook.com/domecandygamesJohn Romeros NEW Doom Map (in Brutal Doom v20b)Dome-Candy Games2016-01-16 | So, John Romero has been working on this Doom 1 map, "Tech Gone Bad," for around 2 weeks, and just released it to the public today (1-15-2016) via a Dropbox link on his Facebook page. If anything it shows that he still has great design chops. It's a basic Doom 1 level (no BFG, no Plasma) and uses only assets from the shareware version of Doom 1. By the way, you MUST play this in a source port that allows for larger levels than vanilla doom, and you CAN play this without mouse-look, or jumping or other modern modifications.
I'm playing it here in Zandronum with Brutal Doom v20b on "hurt me plenty."
