I love this process as it takes 15 minutes or less and is one small thing I can do for my art process during a busy day. The focus of the video is centered around 5x7" collage art in my concertina journal. The journal was folded and cut from a large 18x24" watercolour painting on Strathmore 140 lb paper. I 'd folded it up into a "concertina" book after learning from a course I'd taken by UK artist, Helen Wells. Each page is a great background or jumping off point for a 5x7" artwork.I show how I remove some finished pages from the journal and put them in a 5x7" mat for an 8x10" frame. I show you what art I've been working on since my last video, and an example is the Protea theme where we drew proteas on paper, and painted them with watercolour. I show you some shadow box style frames from Micheals Canada that I like to use to frame some of my artwork or giclee prints on paper. I selected a Royalty free image from Flickr, of an Iris (Iris Alberti), and I show you how I transfer the image using black carbon paper onto my watercolour paper. I then show you how I use white transfer paper to transfer the flower image onto black toned paper.
