Wrestling companies go to great lengths to protect their talent from head injuries but it hasn't always been that way. In this video we run through the WWE and WCW stars who got knocked out cold, concussed and busted open for real in the middle of a match, with the wrestlers themselves telling us what they went through.

From Mr. Kennedy bleeding against Batista despite being told no by Vince McMahon, to Jinder Mahal knocking Finn Balor's block off, to the botch that gave The Undertaker a concussion, a broken nose and a fractured orbital bone. These are the shots that were never supposed to land the way they did.

Some walked it off and finished the match. Others lost titles, momentum or their entire careers.
