This is part of an interview with Sgt. Buckner. In this video he describes how he single handedly stopped a Japanese soldier who held an explosive from coming close to the American positions. Sgt. Buckner was leading his platoon on Guam when they came under heavy fire which caused his commander to call for a tank to fire at some of the Japanese. Sgt. Buckner started to direct the fire until of the tank. The tank was firing until the driver saw an Japanese anti-tank weapon being set up...This caused the driver to slam on the reserve but there were wounded Marines in their path! Sgt. Buckner despite intense fire leaps on top of the tank to stop it from running over his platoon members. All of a sudden a crazy Japanese soldier appears running at him with an anti-tank mine. Acting instantly, Sgt. Buckner turns and fired at the enemy preventing the crew and himself from being wounded.
