This is a black and white Super 8 mm home movie "kinescope" recording of the WVEC-TV 13 story of the making of the ABC made for TV movie "Death of Ocean View Park". This was shot on June 29, 1979, the last day of filming at the park. It describes the difficulties encountered in trying to bring the roller coaster down. The amusement park was used as the filming site for the movie. Parts of the park, especially the roller coaster, were destroyed for the disaster movie. The movie starred Mike Connors, Martin Landau, Diana Canova, Mare Winningham, and several other stars of the time. The majority of the movie was shot in Norfolk, Virginia, with some footage shot in Virginia Beach. The park was also used in the 1977 movie "Roller Coaster".
