This journal was completed, and this video was recorded in September 2023. However, my dad's health declined rapidly, and he passed in mid-October 2023. With the time to grieve, the holidays and settling his estate time slipped away.
This journal is a continuation of my "Soul Searching" theme. I really enjoy this theme because it gives me ways to be thankful for what I have and to dig a little deeper on things that I've been dealing with.
Thanks, Susana (a.k.a Random Artist 222)Stamperia Paste Technique by RandomArtist222 (A.K.A. Susana).Random Artist 2222023-09-25 | A fun and highly versatile technique using @Stamperia Cream Paste with embossing folders. This technique allows you to create alternative material for your mixed-media journaling projects. WARNING: NOT a technique to be used with your die-cutting/embossing platforms!!!
I tend to color after creating the textured material because otherwise the paste may get diluted and not set up properly.
I get my paste from @RetroCafeArtGallery
I was not paid for this video, and I bought all of the products I used in this video.
#shortsRandomArtist222 Stone Fodder StripsRandom Artist 2222023-09-22 | Fodder is big in the craft world now. Keep scraps from your projects or create pre-made pieces that can be used in future projects. I haven't seen this Stone Fodder Strips anywhere. This video walks you through a couple ways of creating the strips. Back in the day, we would call it "using your leftovers" - ha ha.
#shortsHow to create gel pull imagery within stencil shapes using gel pressRandom Artist 2222022-09-30 | This video is a shortened version of a much longer video that I did in 2019. This shorter video covers monoprinting gel press basics. Additionally, I show how to create beautiful effects within the spaces of stencils.
The technique twist video I referenced is "Creating Gel Printed Embellishment Stickers For Journaling and More" and can be found here - youtu.be/WVCWqmuJVdQ . Disregard the "Advent Hop Give Away" in the video because it was from 2019.
I purchased all of the products that I'm using in this video and I was not paid to make this video. I use @gelpress plates for my monoprinting needs. I used stencils from Shawn Petite (shop.shawnpetite.com) for the tutorial.
Thanks, Susana (a.k.a Random Artist 222)Introduction to Aging ArtworkRandom Artist 2222022-08-22 | This video shows how to create an aged effect on your artwork. This process is quick and easy to use, but does require some practice using artwork that isn't precious to you. Once you master this technique, you'll find lots of applications and variations.
I purchased all of the products that I'm using in this video. I purchased the chipboard from Retro Café Art - they have a great store!
Thanks, Susana (a.k.a Random Artist 222)Debossed Textured Paste EffectRandom Artist 2222022-08-15 | This video covers the basics of creating a "debossed" effect - essentially, using the leftover texture paste on a stencil to create a secondary image. This is kind of like inking a stamp and stamping twice to get a different effect. Then, by using a paint medium, such as watercolor, you can create cool effects for your art projects.
I am a guest brand ambassador for Cate Regan Designs, but I purchased the watercolors you see in this video.

Even though the rod and the paints weigh approximately 12 pounds, the setup has held up for over one year already without any issues. I escaped by practicing my skills and being brave to put myself out there so these opportunities, that were everywhere, could find me.

Soooo, happy technique accident time 💫 I’ve done quite a few alcohol pearl ink battles on my Instagram page. I love watching their interaction, so I decided to apply them one day to back of my art blank pieces created using pouring medium. I ended up achieving a holographic effect. in this example I used a Prima mold and Tim Holtz alcohol pearl ink products from Ranger. PLEASE NOTE: this technique works best with thin application as I demonstrated and with molds no deeper than 1/4". Anything deeper will require more curing time.

In this video, I show how I explored this new product to learn how I can use it as a tool in new mixed media art projects without the pressure of creating a professional final product.
The pastes proved very useful with different silicone molds and mats, delivering pieces that provided unique effects. They also come in a variety of colors that are gorgeous with almost a duo-chrome effect.Mixed Media Mania Hop Fall 2018 - New Pouring Medium TechniqueRandom Artist 2222018-10-05 | ***THE HOP IS NOW CLOSED CHECK ON THE 19TH AT THE BLOGS OF http://deedeecatron.blogspot.com/2018/10/mixed-media-mania-winners.html and http://www.inkyfairydesigns.com/2018/10/mixed-media-mania-fall-youtube-hop.html FOR WINNERS OF SPONSORS PRIZES*** THE WINNER OF MY PERSONAL PRIZE IS SARAH G. - THANKS FOR CONTACTING ME.***** HUGE THANKS TO ALL THAT TOOK THE TIME TO HOP 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Bear with me, I used portrait when I should have used landscape. Also, this video is really three videos in one. It contains an introduction to using modeling paste, an overview of some products from The Crafter's Workshop and a tutorial for a stencil technique.
This is a tutorial on what to do with what I call “craft-overs” (like left overs but better, no calories). The technique covers what to do with craft overs from Modeling paste.
For this technique I am using modeling paste and stencils from The Crafter's Workshop. Although they surprised me with some mediums to work with, I was not otherwise compensated for this video. Please note: I only use products I believe in and enjoy working with.
If you would like to skip over the product discussion and an introduction on how to use modeling paste, you can skip to time 18:45.
