With up to 12,300 lumens claimed output, a 9,600 mAh battery capacity and USB-C power-bank capability, does the extra size and weight actually deliver a useful advantage?
I put the Wuben X1 Pro through a practical night test rather than simply reading specifications from the box. We look at its controls, beam selection, brightness settings, battery setup and charging before testing how effectively it illuminates targets at 20 metres, 30 metres and 50 metres.
I then compare the Wuben directly with my Olight M2R Warrior, a torch I've used as a reference point in previous reviews.
The Wuben gives you three useful beam choices: a concentrated spotlight, a broad floodlight or both together. It also carries two large rechargeable batteries with a combined 9,600 mAh capacity, allowing the USB-C connection to double as a power bank for a phone or other device.
The trade-off is size and weight. At around 400 grams, the X1 Pro is considerably heavier and larger than the Olight M2R. The real question is whether its additional light output, beam flexibility, battery capacity and active cooling make that extra bulk worthwhile.
