Lap Sau is a popular Wing Chun method to pin someones hand down low or too pull them into a punch. In Wing Tzun we do it a certain way, which is completely different than the method favored by most WC schools. Since WT is based on chainpunching to make contact, out Lap Sau pull is not based on grabbing an arm out of the air, but is instead based on a straight Jut Sau that grips withthe curve of the palm.
The Lap Sau Cycle in WT Section 1 is a mechanical way to reinforce our chainpunch attack method, and then grappling hand or Wu Sau coming forward or indoor pak Sau methods can be practiced from here.
