Name: Hivelite Brigade
(Hive + elite + lite, Brigade)
Elements: Decor/Utility/Entrapment
Gender(s): Not Applicable (hivemind)
Sound: Horns
(Their carapaces are capable of producing horns so loud that you could hear it from several miles away.)
Bio: While looking like a group of distinct guards, the Hivelite Brigade is actually a rather vast hivemind that works to protect the premises of Workplace. Though it sounds rather easy at first glance, being spread across hundreds (or thousands... they themselves don't even know how vast they themselves are at this point) and being forced to do so many highly specific jobs in so many bodies gets rather mentally exhausting after a long while. Workplace insists that because they have many bodies, if one gets tired, they can easily swap out another. The mental wear and tear can simply be hidden behind closed doors.
The Brigade has been guarding the property of Workplace for a while now, being the first singular guard Workplace had ever "hired". The circumstances of the Brigade's discovery wasn't a typical hiring experience however-- the Brigade at first was only 3 bodies, desperately trying to find sustenance in the walls of the Lobby, with very little luck. Because Workplace was desperate at the time (they were a much, much smaller company then), they were immediately taken in as guards. It's not like the Brigade had much of a choice, they didn't have any better options in the City. Not many hotels accommodate for a one-mind many-bodies organism quite like them.
Although the Brigade does their best to conceal the mental wear of working 24/7 for decades now, a visible anxiety can still be seen in the eyes of the smaller bodies as they scuttle to and from different positions. The anxiety of being fired lingers in the mind of the Brigade a lot, even though there's no real reason for them to fear so as one of two guards across the entirety of Workplace. The only reason why you can't see it in the larger bodies is simply because they all wear shades. Indoors.
