WoW Housing - Modern Design is a build I made for the World of Decorcraft competition. But I wanted another chance to explain the story and thought behind it. Thank you for watching! :)

EASTER EGGS:
The idea is that Svetlanky (my toon) is at home less in summer than in winter and her apartment naturally reflects that.
*First apt is future (summertime), second is past (winter; Christmas)
*More takeout in summer, more fresh food in winter (+recipe book out)
*More dishes scattered and in sink in winter
*PC is off (webcam is on; Bronze Dragonflight is WoW's NSA) in summer
*In winter, it's on and showing logo for toon's fav game (IRS)
*PC game "case" (scroll) is also out in winter, but closed and on shelf in summer
*Office chair cushion is switched in both
*Telescope moved in both
*Less open windows in winter
*TV, shelf, speaker, couch moved slightly in winter to make room for tree
*Auto (pet) stole stove burner in summer
*Auto is too distracted by the train in winter to be a little shit
*Desk by gaming space is being painted from red to orange in winter
*It is then orange in summer
*Idol of Razen gifted as Christmas present in winter, sits by Idol of Pa'ku in summer
*Mechanized chest is gifted to Auto in winter, sits by his bed in summer
*Shelf is gifted in winter, is set up in bedroom as bookshelf in summer
*Tome of Pandaren Wisdom gifted in winter, sits out in summer
*Christmas lights around apt in winter
*MISC items moved around
*Flowers on top of fridge switched
*Some additional knickknacks in summer to reflect the unopened presents in winter
FULL NARRATIVE:
The apartment belongs to my toon, Svetlanky. She's an adventurer who works fulltime in the spring/summer. But during winter - and especially the holidays - she spends more time at home.
Upon entering, you'll walk into Svetlanky's apartment in the middle of summer. The trees are bright green, almost all the windows are open, the clutter is minimal, etc.
Svetlanky has less time to entertain her pet, Auto, in the summer, so that rascal managed to steal the stove burner and is now playing with it.
And as Svety is always tired after adventuring all day, she has a bad habit of ordering too much takeout. Hence why there's not much fresh food and minimal dishes in the sink.
Meanwhile, her gaming space is void of life. The monitor/PC is off (the webcam is on because the Bronze Dragonflight is always watching), she has her favorite PC game stashed away on the shelf (IRS), and the empty cups on her desk are long-forgotten.
She also has her backpack on the hook in the entryway (where it belongs; she's precise about her pixels), so she can grab it and leave at a moment's notice.
And her bedroom is nicely made, books in their proper places, and windows wide open so she can enjoy the view of the lake…and her kite that got stuck in a tree. She hasn't had time to grab it.
Finally, as you'll come to see in a moment, all of the presents from her past Christmas are put away.
Through the hidden bookcase door, you'll walk through time to seven months prior, where Svetlanky is celebrating Christmas (with Auto).
First, it's snowing! How atmospheric. But additionally, the apartment is far more cluttered and lived-in. This is because Svetlanky doesn't adventure much during winter - and especially not the holidays!
As such, there's more fresh food, a recipe book open and waiting, and plenty more dishes in the sink and around the apartment. In the entryway, her backpack is out of place, forgotten.
But her gaming area is wilding! She has her favorite video game (IRS) fired up, its "container" lying next to her monitor, and she's even switched out her seat cushion from blue to white.
Combine that with the lights, train, and tree, and it's full Christmas aesthetic! (Bronze Dragonflight is still watching.)
Speaking of the train, little Auto is occupied af by the train. He won't be stealing the oven burner anytime soon (or, well, for 7 months or so).
Meanwhile, the presents under the Christmas tree are in the process of being opened. You'll notice someone got Svety an Idol of Rezan to go with her Idol of Pa'ku in the entryway.
Auto also has a gift - a little mechanized chest! (That didn't stop him from being a little shit, though.)
And lastly, Svetlanky was also gifted a shelf to neatly stack her books on, which were previously scattered in the corner of her bedroom.
Also in her bedroom, her telescope is pointed out one of the only open windows. She loves the winter view of the frosted lake! But…she also gets stir crazy.
So stir crazy that she started to paint the desk by her gaming station (from red to orange) and has clearly made a mess. (But she managed to finish painting it by summer!)
And that's it. Svetlanky is just a normal Draenei living her best life, no matter the month or season. :)
