This is an area near Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site and is located inside of Thompson Pass, while I would have loved to fly and film up close to the glacier, this was just not possible.
I do highly recommend the glacier viewing platforms inside the Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site and consider it a can't miss stop along the Richardson Highway.
According to the National Park Service "... Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site is one of the most road accessible glaciers in Alaska. Visitors can park their vehicle nearby and then walk close to the face of the glacier. It was designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1968, and is 5,744 acres large."
