Worst welds I have seen in any welding job total fail, Ranger GTX250 and E7018
Ranger GTX 250 with E7018 electrodes vs rusty muddy cattle guard. Really bad welds over dirt and the e7018 was no match. I saw a welding crew repairing some loose beams on a cattle guard and decided to take some footage of the welds. The cattle guard had 3 loose beams across and were really muddy. The following day I drove my truck over the cattle guard and heard the beams move again and this video would show the work done the previous day. A Lincoln Ranger 250 GXT was used with Forney E7018 electrodes.
I truly believe the equipment used was good but the preparation of the welding material was not there. The welds are obviously over mud and dirt so there is no way to get a decent weld.
