💀 Raz Po Raz (Time After Time)
Once a year, a magical portal to Halloween Town opens. The human world fears this moment, as it’s the only time when monsters can cross over to torment innocent souls. To protect the city, Judge Frollo enforces a strict curfew, but the free-spirited gypsy Esmeralda refuses to comply.
While wandering in a cemetery, Esmeralda stumbles upon the portal and is transported to Halloween Town. Amidst the ghouls, she meets Jack Skellington, who doesn’t seem so frightening. She shares stories of Frollo’s cruelty toward gypsies and the poor. Jack offers her refuge in Halloween Town, even asking Sally to create a beautiful new dress for her and hosting a small party in her honor.
However, Frollo discovers the portal and accuses Esmeralda of being a witch. When the monsters don’t harm her, his suspicions grow, and he has her burned at the stake. Jack is powerless to save her, as the residents of Halloween Town are forbidden from interfering in human lives—they can only scare, not harm or help.
Crushed by the loss of his new friend, Jack mourns her death. But the story takes a surprising twist: Esmeralda returns as one of the monsters of Halloween Town, where she and Jack can finally live happily ever after.
