Take a front row 4K ride with us on switchback railway at ZDTS amusement parks in Texas. This coaster is the worlds first and only shuttle coaster made from wood. It is built by the Gravity Group, and features an airtime filled layout that you travel through Both forwards and backwards. This attraction is located at a family run amusement park and waterpark about 45 minutes outside of San Antonio Texas. The buisness started by the owner wanting to buy the building to turn into a restaurant; and after owning it and not turning it into said restaurant the owner decided to transform the property into a family entertainment center to give people of the small town something to do. Him snd his wife Sarah turned this property into a small theme park; with this rollercoaster, two arcades, climbing wall on an old silo, electric go kart track, waterpark with 3 water slides ( one slide being a water coaster ) , restaurant, indoor trampoline, drop tower, and a swinging pendulum style attraction. The park is very affordable and very safe for families looking for fun that won’t break the bank. When we visited this park we were traveling from Six Flags fiesta Texas and got invited by the owners wife to try out the rides, and film sone POVS. Although we didn’t have enough time to mount up cameras or fly the drone, we did get a chance to ride each operating attraction and film 4K povs to share!

If you’re looking to ride a truly one of a kind coaster make sure to plan a trip out to ZDTS during your next Texas trip. We visited the park on a very dead day ( Sunday ) and got to ride everything but the slides ( closed due to cold temps ) plus the coaster 6+ times all in less than an hour. The staff was friendly and the food they sold inside was very good for what was offered. The arcade was clean and the staff cleaned each ride after ever rider. If you’re worried about travel during these times don’t worry, the staff did a great job keeping the place very very clean!

Now onto the coaster itself. The rollercoaster wasn’t anything we were going in with the thoughts this is going to be the greatest ride ever built, but had high standards for it from what we’ve been told of this ride. We waited 0 minutes since we were pretty much the only people at the park and climbed into row 1 first. The lift hill was traditional and felt like mine blower at fun spot. The first drop gave a nice bit of air in the front and even more in the back. The layout went by pretty fast but was extremely smooth for a wooden ride. It has some airtime and an over banked turn that provides some nice forces. The best part was the spike, it’s so odd to feel this on a wooden coaster, but was executed perfect. The ride then traverses it’s entire layout backwards before hitting brakes, headed back up the main drop, then coming to a full stop. The track transfers in front of you and then the train pulls back into the station. Although it’s a small ride, it packed a big punch. We rode it 6 times ( mostly in the front ) before heading out to six flags over Texas and had an amazing time. So happy we stopped and will recommend this coaster and park to anyone who enjoys roller coasters!!
