Pound for pound I have yet to see the equal to this machine. It weighs in at a very light 52.5 pounds. This weight includes the motor, VFD, and large platen. A typical 2 HP, 3 Phase sander motor for other machines weigh is a around 48 pounds. Ouch!
The frame is all aluminum construction. The motor is a 3 HP. Top belt speed is well above 7000 surface feet per minute. It rips the metal off with ease at higher speeds and had good power at lower speeds for detailing operations.
