An Antonov An-124 Ruslan, the highest gross weight production cargo aircraft, takes off from the Shuttle Landing Facility at Kennedy Space Center on 2014-01-16. It flew direct from the UK, loaded some cargo near where the shuttle mate/demate device used to be at the south end of the field, and took off a few days later. On a 15,000 foot runway it lifted off in less than 5000 feet. The video was shot from midfield just in front of the SLF control tower. The flight designation was VDA4403 departing at 12:10 eastern time, cruising at 30,000 feet and landing at Houston Bush Intl. at 13:59 central.
