A note to add from Christian. "I invented the Anti-Faro, because I wanted to reset the setup for Juan Tamariz's false shuffle in the hands. It is something he kept a secret for over 40 years, so I never told people what the Anti-Faro was born out of.
Originally,the move was never intended to be a perfect Anti-Faro, but instead just a reset for the false shuffle. I assume the tabled false shuffle you are referring to, works with the same principle. Only when I got half of the deck to separate one-buy-one, by accident, did start my quest to be able to do it with all of the deck.
The process took me about 2 years.
I still think the best application of the Anti-Faro is the imperfect q
