I travelled all the way to the other side of the planet to operate this Komatsu WA500 because it's basically making history as it's the first one of its kind (make, and model) to be operated via both tele op and/or supervised autonomy.
Besides it obviously being a ton of fun, and comfortable with almost no operator fatigue. The best part for me is I didn't even have to get dirty...If this doesn't attract the next generation I don't know what will.
What can I say, I always knew autonomous technologies would gain momentum quickly in our industry. Just never thought they would need to keep the human element (operator) in the seat for long.
Congrats to Teleo.ai and their new dealer SR-O Technology for officially making this technology available across the European continent. I am excited to watch the momentum continue with every new customer.
