The Atari Video Music was the world's first music visualiser, released by Atari in 1977 and sold in Sears department stores. Based on the same technology as Pong and the VCS / 2600, it could be plugged into a TV and hifi system and produce impressive visually impressive colourful patterns in time with the music.
