DALI stands for Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries. The brand was founded in Denmark in 1983 to provide speakers to the Scandinavian retail chain HiFi Klubben. Over the years, DALI as a brand grew in prominence and the speakers began being sold in other stores. Today, DALI products are available in stores in 70 countries. Besides traditional loudspeakers, DALI now also makes custom-install speakers, portable speakers, and headphones.

In 2022, DALI introduced the Kore loudspeaker, a flagship, cost-no-object design to show to the world the best speaker they knew how to make. In 2023, DALI introduced the lower-priced Epikore 11, featuring technology trickled down from the Kore.
