The tallest domino structure with a height of 10.05 meters, consisting out of 8,044 dominoes set up by Michael Hoermann and Philipp Zimmermann.

The setting:
2010 we set up a record with 5.08 meter, officially confirmed by Guinness world records. Then we found out that our record has been broken by Yspertal Domino Team (Austria) in Yspertal, Austria, on 3 November 2013 with a height of 6.026 m (19 ft 9.24 in). Therefore we wanted to reclaim the record of the tallest domino structure.
Our plan was to set up a 10-meter high domino tower!
First attempt:
Consisted of approximately 18,000 domino stones and it toppled due to a small mistake
Second attempt:
We had a time limit because we could use the hall, where we made our record attempts, only for four days. So after two days, we had nothing and only two days left:
therefore we decided, based upon our experience in domino building, to set up a tower with such a small diameter that it reduces the number of dominos drastically but this meant a much more unstable construction method.
In the end, the tower consisted of 417 rows before we set four dominoes on top of the tower and toppled it. (Tip: if you want to count the number of rows: one coloured block consists of 22 rows).
