Disraeli Gears: Cream (1967)
Aussie artist Martin Sharp was responsible for the original album artwork, creating a mixed media collage with photographs by Bob Whitaker. Sharp wanted to capture the bands warm, fluorescent sound but was also inspired by ancient sculptures in Cambodia. These giant sculptures had faces on each side and trees had started growing out of their heads. The three faces reminded him of the band and the trees looked like music coming out of their heads.
