This video is for soccer and football fans, and also sports enthusiasts and tourists travelling and visiting New York City. I walk around Rockefeller Plaza, exploring the FIFA World Cup Fan Village. No music, no talking, just pure ambient street walking experience on a rainy day.
Step into the heart of the FIFA World Cup 2026 at the official NYNJ World Cup 26 & Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center in New York City. This free public event runs from July 6 to July 19, 2026, and transforms the iconic Rockefeller Plaza into a vibrant soccer celebration right in Midtown Manhattan.
In this walking tour, see how the famous Rink at Rockefeller Center has been converted into “The Pitch” — a full soccer field serving as the main hub for live match broadcasts on large screens with Spanish-language coverage from Telemundo. Wander through the bustling fan zones, the Champions’ Garden tribute to past World Cup champion nations and legends, and interactive areas filled with global fan energy.
Highlights include free youth and adult soccer clinics run by coaches from FC Bayern Munich, NYCFC, and Gotham FC, family movie nights, live performances, workshops, and photo opportunities. Visit the immersive FIFA Museum Presented by Hyundai showcasing World Cup history and shop at the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Store.
A major attraction is the LEGO Brand activation, featuring hands-on experiences such as the collaborative Mystery Mural built brick by brick, the Jersey Wall where fans add their own mark, trophy photo spots, and custom LEGO-inspired floral sculptures in the Champions’ Garden. On display is a massive LEGO replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy — standing over 27 feet tall and constructed from more than 1.36 million bricks after more than 7,000 hours of work by a team of specialists.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is the first tournament jointly hosted by three nations — the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This lifestyle center opened in April 2006 on the site of the former Atlas Terminals industrial park, which dated back to the early 1900s.
