The measurement is always inside the building or at least in an environment close to this. The specific requirements are: air temperature 18 °C to 24 °C and relative air humidity 10 % to 75 %.

The inspected person looks at the lens of the thermal camera from the front and does not wear glasses that are for LWIR thermal cameras (with sensitivity band in the range 7 to 14 um) they are opaque.

The measurement parameters are set correctly in the thermal camera, i.e. mainly emissivity and reflected apparent temperature. Of course, this applies to any measurement with a thermal camera.

The spatial resolution on the face of the measured person should be at least 1 mm per pixel. For a thermal camera with a standard resolution of 320x240px, it is based on about 25 to 30 cm.

A black body is for continuous recalibration is necessary- Black body must have hgh temperature stability, low uncertainty of the indicated temperature and should occupy an area of at least 20x20 px in the thermogram.

The highest accuracy in the image (thermogram) is achieved near the area where the black body is captured. Therefore, the face of the inspected person should be placed as close as possible to the black body.

The temperature in the area medially adjacent to the inner corner of the eye must be read on the face of the inspected person, as indicated in the figure.
