Creating effective BIM tags depends on well-configured MLeader styles that control both tag appearance and the data displayed within annotations.

This lesson focuses on creating and customizing MLeader styles in the _SectionTag source drawing used by the BIMTAG command. You will learn how to build text-based tag styles using fields linked to BIM properties, configure leader settings such as arrowheads, colors, and sizes, and customize content formatting.

The lesson also covers creating block-based tag styles by defining attributes, applying the correct BIM tag syntax, creating block definitions, and assigning them to MLeader styles.

In addition, you will explore how existing styles can be modified and how custom styles can be incorporated into the BIM tagging workflow through the TagTypeToStyle mapping process used in generated BIM documentation.
