UPDATE: I decided to cancel this specific game in order to focus on my currently untitled ball-and-paddle game for the time being.
While I'm still working on that untitled ball-and-paddle game that draws inspiration from Atari's Pong and Breakout games, I also decided to work on this game as a side-project. I envision this being a left-to-right sidescrolling shoot-em-up game, but instead of playing as a spaceship that can shoot enemies, you play as a Superman-esque superhero and have to get close enough to enemies to punch them in order to deal damage. All I have planned for this game thus far is to make it an arcade-style game where you play as the superhero, whom I'll name "Captain Omega", as he tries to stop a Lex Luthor-inspired supervillain named "Doctor Crafty", and an army of his robot henchmen. I envision the game being endless even if Captain Omega defeats Doctor Crafty and his robots. I hope you enjoy what I have thus far.
